Pillars
Sisterhood
One of the main reasons our sisters decided to join, Sisterhood is a pillar near and dear to our hearts. Having over 65 chapters and over 10,000 sisters across the US and Canada,, our community and connection is incredibly strong. Filled with women who are supportive, caring, and loving, they offer an unwavering support system white creating a safe space for you to thrive and become the best version of yourself.
No matter who you are or where you're from, we welcome everyone with open arms. The best part? Our Sisterhood lasts a lifetime, reminding you no matter where you go in life or which direction you decide to take, you will always have a family and a home away from home.

Leadership
Filled with extremely dedicated and career-driven women, aKDPhi has helped individuals develop and grow into leaders both in and out of the organization. With various leadership and professional opportunities ranging from Executive Board positions in our chapters to internships with the International Leadership Board, our sisters are able to gain skills and knowledge necessary for success, allowing them to progress in their careers with ease.
It isn't just limited to aKDPhi either; our chapter has had numerous sisters who have held leadership roles in student organizations on campus, such as:
-
President, WLU CSA
-
VP Finance, Laurier AUS
-
VP Marketing, Laurier Pre-Law Society
-
Director of Events, Her Campus

aKDPhi truly helps you grow personally and professionally.
Service
Eager to help our communities, give back, and make an impact, our sisters serve with a passion. Breast Cancer Awareness is our national philanthropy and we are devoted to raise awareness for such an important cause. As a collective organization, we have raised over $1.1 M for breast cancer research, and we are not stopping here. Working all throughout the year, especially in October for BCA Month, we encourage everyone to continue learning more about breast health, preventative measures, and opportunities to further engagement around BCA.
Outside of BCA, our chapter also volunteers for other initiatives and service projects within our community, such as clothing drives, bottle drives, community clean ups, and creating care packages for the homeless. We take pride in using our platform to create positive impact in our community.

Scholarship
Academics is extremely important to our organization, which is why our sisters are always striving to achieve their highest academic potential. Whether that's excelling in their studies, receiving awards and recognition, or just distinguishing themselves as brilliant scholars, our sisters value academic excellence. In 2025, we significantly grew our chapter cumulative GPA by 9%, receiving a Scholastic Excellence Award at our National Convention.

Aside from hosting hours of study and tutoring sessions within our chapter and receiving scholarships, we require all sisters to have a minimum GPA of 6.5 on the 12.0 scale (or 2.5 on the 4.0 scale). With various academic resources to career connections from sisters and alumnae in diverse careers, aKDPhi is an excellent place to network and receive support in your fields of study.
Asian-Awareness
As one of the only multi-cultural Greek organizations on campus, we deeply value and cherish cultural awareness. In particular, we place emphasis on Asian cultures and heritage. Although we are the first, largest, and only international Asian-interest sorority, we are NOT Asian-exclusive, and welcome anyone and everyone from all cultural backgrounds. We strive to promote awareness and appreciation for Asian cultures in our communities while educating one another on its history and importance.
Hosting multiple cultural events within and outside of our chapter, we constantly push for and encourage sisters to embrace their heritage, empowering them to be proud of their backgrounds.
